We’ve all been there, standing in the rain, waiting endlessly for a glorious public transportation vehicle to save us from the harsh elements along major corridors leading to the University of British Columbia. The Alma Matter Society (AMS) recognizes that our community has reached a new height in demand for public transportation, with that, the office of the Vice-President External (VPX) has been establishing long term initiatives to increase service along one of North America’s busiest diesel based transit routes (the 99 B Line). Our goal is to raise awareness on the amount of daily pass-ups which occur throughout Metro Vancouver, and to put pressure on different levels of government and varying stake holders to increase services on these major routes.
